São Paulo Fashion Week also called SPFW is the biggest fashion event in Brazil and Latin America. This event takes place twice a year in São Paulo, with the same purpose as Paris Fashion Week and other fashion weeks around the world.

Lino Villaventura
Lino Villaventura is one of the greatest Brazilian avant-garde artwear designers since 1978. He participates in several important events, including the largest fashion show in Latin America, the São Paulo Fashion Week.
The São Paulo Fashion Week 2023 fashion show ended with several looks by Lino Villaventura. His intention was to show the theatrical skill in handling fabrics, creating textures and three-dimensional volumes with lightness and desire.
Many novelties were launched in jeans and plastic pieces.

Greg Joey
Greg Joey had the parade inspired by the cinema and music of the 1980s. In the parade, the film “Drowning by Numbers” (1988), by Peter Greenaway, was used as a reference due to its melancholic aspects.
The pieces that stood out in the São Paulo Fashion Week 2023 trend were chemise-type dresses, tailoring pieces and shirts in monochrome looks.
The main tones and colors present in this collection were green, lemon yellow, blue, pink, white and black.

David Lee
The stylist David Lee was born in Ceará and in the parade he brought several cultures in the looks. The pieces had a beautiful visual explosion of free fairs, with tailoring and streetwear.
His collection is called “Parangaba” which is the name of a neighborhood and a fair in Fortaleza. It showcases the beauty of handcrafted crochet work and worn ensembles over silver leggings.
In addition, some tailoring pieces with and embroidery, trinkets and laise-like lace shirts also gained prominence in the São Paulo Fashion Week 2023 trend.

Walério Araújo
Walério Araújo made a beautiful and colorful tribute to his friend Elke Maravilha. His work is extravagant, conceptual and fanciful.
The main difference from Walério Araújo's parade was the presence of the rainbow colors of the LGBTQIAP+ flag. In addition, several other colors were used, including pastels and metallics.
The São Paulo Fashion Week trend at Walério Araújo's show featured flashy dresses, embroidered pieces, high boots, overalls and beautiful head accessories.

Fernanda Yamamoto
Fernanda Yamamoto's show is known worldwide for its Asian references.
The São Paulo Fashion Week 2023 trend brought pleated details, rhinestone embroidery and square, symmetrical or hollow cutouts. Most of the show was in black and white, with little highlights in yellow, pink and gray.

Weider Silveiro
Weider Silveiro is a famous stylist from Piauí who works with themes considered from the Northeast region.
The main pieces of the São Paulo Fashion Week 2023 trend had yo-yos and tapestry with ties, in an urban, minimalist and feminine design. Regarding the color palette, the most used tones were peach, orange, cinnamon, vibrant green and black.

Holy Resistance
Santa Resistência joined the São Paulo Fashion Week 2023 trend with the collection “Maria Mariá: a woman on the move!”
The entire collection was inspired by female strength, sensuality and passion. The looks were dramatic with lots of flowers, hot perfumes and colors in red and black.

AZ Marias
The brand AZ Marias used water as the theme of the São Paulo Fashion Week 2023 fashion show. In addition to water, themes such as nature and sustainability served as inspiration.
All water states were represented, and the main colors were: blue, aqua green, yellow, gold, purple and pink. Maritime and aquatic animal prints, ruffles and wave designs on the hems of the clothes reinforced the theme.

Thear
Thear Clothing paid tribute to Cora Coralina with the “Todas as Coras” collection. The looks on the show contained layers with contrasting transparencies, laise and guipure lace, cotton and denim.
Darker tones were the highlight of the São Paulo Fashion Week 2023 trend by Thear brand.

Forca Studio
Forca Studio has creations with a nocturnal look, a characteristic that subverts the elegance with clubber codes. The collection was created on the theme of recreation, with raw silhouettes, contrasting overlays of fluid fabrics and rigid structures.
The pieces were made from matte fabrics and dark, earthy and stone tones. Also, some different materials were used like sustainable rubber, leather, latex, resin, tapestry, gauze and linen.

Marina Bitu
Stylist Mariana Bitu was inspired by draped and gathered looks in chiffon, velvet, linen and silk with a palette of neutral and earthy colors.
Mariana Bitu's show brought a complete sensory experience, with shapes and silhouettes inspired by food. The fluffy pantsuit and the fringe pants or poncho were a real hit for the brand!

Renata Buzzo
Renata Buzzo launched the “Peles” collection at the São Paulo Fashion Week 2023 trend.
All pieces have differentiated spherical textures, regular or not. In addition, cylindrical and curvy shapes also outline various dresses and coats.
The color palette has the most varied skin tones, from dark brown to pale white.

Silverio
Stylist Rafael Silvério arrived at the show with the collection “La Petite Mort” or “refractory period that occurs after orgasm.”
Pieces in unstructured tailoring and spiral modeling with materials such as twills, jacquards, combed cotton, crepes and polyamide jerseys, sweatshirts and cotton knits were used.
The clothes had a sober and architectural style, in shades of gray, white, black and sometimes a touch of pink as a point of light.

Mauricio Duarte
Maurício Duarte belongs to Amazonas and brought his regional references to the São Paulo Fashion Week 2023 trend.
The clothes have a basketry work and are called “Weaves”. This technique is common in accessories such as belts, corsets and capes.
In addition, the highlight is the more casual color palette such as raw cotton knits or blended with jute.

The Paradise
The Paradise is a brand from Rio de Janeiro that debuted at the São Paulo Fashion Week 2023 trend with incredible pieces. The brand’s differential are the prints and in the parade it presented a block for each decade between 1950 and 1989.
The collection has varied pieces in prints and gender and the finish is more aimed at the young public. Jeanswear is one of its pillars and are printed, as well as shirts, croppeds, suits and bustiers.

The LED brand celebrates 10 years with a beautiful collection called “Exodos” in this edition of SPFW.
The pieces were characterized by a surreal sheen like vinyl fabrics, loop belts, open stitch bodysuits and crocheted thongs to top the low waistband of the pants.

oil palm
The Bahian brand Dendezeiro shows a color chart based on skin tones with paler nuances from beige to chocolate brown. The idea was to show the skin as a whole, in bicolor details for people with vitiligo and even details like stretch marks, freckles, cellulite and albino skin.
The super voluminous padded jackets and tailoring pieces were the highlight of the night.
In addition, unconventional details appear on sleeves with open zippers, tunics with asymmetrical sleeves or jackets with trains.

Mnisis
Mnisis used the children's book “Vazio” by Anna Llenas as a reference for the show.
Various phases of life were interpreted, such as struggle and acceptance. The color palette used black and mustard tones in unusual and different cuts.

Apartment 03
Designer Luiz Claudio da Silva of the Apartamento 03 brand dives into the history of the first black artist trained at the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro in the 19th century.
He used still life as the basis for the prints, with three-dimensional flowers, pleated fabrics, laser cutting and transparent layers.
The pieces also had asymmetrical ends cut on the bias and loose ends of fabric on the top trim.

Ronaldo Silvestre
The stylist from Minas Gerais Ronaldo Silvestre launched the collection called “Futuro do Presente” in the São Paulo Fashion Week 2023 trend.
The collection was inspired by the shapes of nature and the deconstruction of urban uniforms with natural dyes in yellow, clay tones and red.
The prints were hand-painted on raw cotton by children from the Sustainable Growing project, with illustrations in black line or in color.

Rafael Caetano
Rafael Caetano was yet another debut in the São Paulo Fashion Week 2023 trend with a queer, nocturnal approach and a mix of tailoring and streetwear.
The color chart ranged from black, pink, magenta and red to the softest shades of oat beige and citron green.
The pieces are unique with surprising details such as pants with tuxedo-like satin sides, shirts with strategic cutouts, side buttons on the sleeves and bows on the collar, long jackets and much more.

Martins
Tom Martins had only four looks assembled using the biodesign technique, which presents creative results with natural plants growing on felt.
Another feature of the pieces are the ruffles inspired by the shapes of flowers. Details in sequin embroidery and crystals were also used.
Additionally, some psychedelic prints mixed with stuffed animals and planets were also demonstrated.

king boys
Menino Rei launched the “Pop Ancestral” collection, which talks about Afrofuturism and the connection between the present, past and future of black history.
This collection features colorful prints with a mix of black and white designs. The leopard print, which is a classic, was not left out of the catwalks.
The pieces featured lots of cutouts on the sides, bulky padded coats, hooded jackets, and drawstring-tied pants.

firm point
The brand Ponto Firme launched a collection with crochet embroidered with many layers of laser cutting of plastics and metallics, rigid or flexible.
The pieces were inspired by internet avatars, which are something that dominates the world in recent times. For various reasons, the collection was super bright and flashy.

TA Studios
TA Studios paraded the “Flying Kites and Dreams” collection, which makes reference to themes such as mental health and plastic arts.
Her pieces have light tailoring and agender shapes. The creations are made with sustainable materials and the colors were darker and more sober.

Patricia Vieira
Patricia Viera is known as a leather artisan and seeks to reduce waste by cutting the material.
The metallic dresses with laser cuts and floral prints were the success of the São Paulo Fashion Week 2023 trend. The floral designs, cracked textures and three-dimensional mosaic effect are the collection's great differential.

Gefferson Vila Nova
Gefferson Vila Nova brought the “Abstrato” collection from Salvador for the São Paulo Fashion Week 2023 trend.
The pieces were light, with a seaside breeze, baggy pants, white tees and boxy shorts.
The color palette was black, navy blue, white and cream. Details were a trademark of the stylist, such as voluminous pockets and eyelets on the tank tops.

Igor Dadona
Igor Dadona always presents vestiges of his introspective and refined creative universe in details.
The “Colosso” collection presents, in the São Paulo Fashion Week 2023 trend, the huge voids of brutalist architecture, with details in delicate tailoring.
He goes with the color palette of white, gray, brown, beige and black in a contrasting way and fabrics like wool, silk and others. Pants, shirts with jabô on the front, coat tails and scarf collar are examples of this sensitive and delicate tailoring.
In addition, shorts were also part of the São Paulo Fashion Week 2023 fashion show.

Isaac Silva
Isaac Silva used the catwalk covered with rue leaves to parade the collection inspired by the song “Banho de Folhas”, by singer Luedji Luna.

With 20 years of the João Pimenta brand, the São Paulo Fashion Week 2023 trend had devastating shows.
The most striking pieces have lace embroidered with gemstone flowers, which make reference to countryside festivities. There were three distinct male personas on the catwalk: the dandy, the punk and the cowboy, with a color chart in varying shades of white, blue, grey/silver and black.
